Chunchura: A minor victim of stepfather's lust. Brutal torture was going on with the support of the mother. DNA test evidence of stepfather's feat.

Two people were sentenced to life imprisonment. Judge Chandraprabha Chakraborty of Chunchura's POCSO court announced the sentence on Monday. The minor's stepfather did not want to comment after the court announced the sentence. It is known that when the victim was twelve years old, the minor's mother left her father and married an old man. They lived in a rented house in Rabindranagar.

Allegedly, Praudh sexually assaulted the stepdaughter by scaring her there. The minor informed her mother about this. Then his mother told him to be quiet.

He also beat. Since then, the stepfather continued to sexually abuse the minor. The minor became pregnant several times.

His mother aborted him. On the night of April 24, 2020, the minor could not bear the torture and started crying outside the house. The tenants of that house can learn everything from him.

Chunchura Mahila went to the police station and reported that her stepfather was brutally torturing her mother. Sabina Begum was the government lawyer in this case. Later, Shankar Gangopadhyay, Chief Public Prosecutor of Hooghly District, said that the case was filed under Section 354/323/34 of the Indian Penal Code and the POCSO Act.

After interrogation and medical examination of the victim in the investigation, the Investigating Officer applied for addition of Sections 376(2)(f)(m) and 109 and Sections 4 and 6 of the POCSO Act. When the accused were arrested and produced before the court, they were kept in jail. As the victim was pregnant at the time of filing the complaint, she underwent an abortion at the hospital.

As the accused refused to plead guilty, the DNA of the fetus was tested at the Forensic Laboratory in Kolkata on the orders of the court. DNA test proved the identity of the accused stepfather. Investigating officer Tanuka Shikder filed a charge sheet against both the accused on 15 June 2020.

A total of 21 people's testimony was accepted in the case. On June 12, the judge convicted both the accused. Their sentence was announced on this day. Both were sentenced to life imprisonment and fined Rs.

In default, the judge ordered another six months imprisonment.
