Pakistan Beats West Indies in T20I Series Decider

Pakistan won the T20I series 2-1 against West Indies in Lauderhill, Florida. Saim Ayub and Sahibzada Farhan’s big partnership set a strong total, while tight bowling sealed a 13-run victory in the third match.

The third T20I in Lauderhill was a series decider. Pakistan, tied 1-1 with West Indies, batted first after winning the toss. Their strong batting and disciplined bowling led to a hard-fought win.

Sahibzada Farhan and Saim Ayub powered Pakistan’s innings. Farhan scored 74 off 53 balls, while Ayub added 66 off 49. Their 158-run stand overwhelmed West Indies’ bowlers until the 17th over.

West Indies’ Shamar Joseph dismissed Farhan in the 17th over. Hasan Nawaz fell soon after for 15. Khushdil Shah and Faheem Ashraf pushed Pakistan to a solid 189/4.

West Indies’ chase started well but faltered early. Opener Jewel Andrew scored quickly but was dismissed by Haris Rauf in the fifth over, leaving the hosts at 74/2.

Shai Hope managed only 7 runs before departing. Alick Athanaze scored 60 off 40 but fell to Saim Ayub’s spin in the 13th over, slowing West Indies’ momentum.

With 60 runs needed off 30 balls, Sherfane Rutherford’s 51 and Roston Chase’s 15 kept hopes alive. However, Chase retired out, and Jason Holder was out for a duck.

In the final over, West Indies needed 25 runs. Hasan Ali took Rutherford’s wicket, securing Pakistan’s 13-run victory and the series, as West Indies fell short.

Pakistan’s bowlers showed composure under pressure. Sufiyan Muqeem and Saim Ayub’s spin, alongside Hasan Ali’s pace, restricted West Indies, ensuring the defense of their challenging total.

Farhan and Ayub’s opening partnership was key. Their aggressive batting set a daunting target, exposing West Indies’ struggles to maintain momentum during the high-pressure chase.

West Indies’ batting woes persisted throughout the series. Despite strong starts, their middle order couldn’t deliver, costing them a chance to win their first T20I series against Pakistan.

Pakistan’s series win highlights their depth. Even without key players, their balanced performance in batting and bowling secured a memorable victory in Florida.

The thrilling decider showcased Pakistan’s ability to handle pressure. Their strategic approach and standout performances from Ayub and Farhan ensured a well-earned series triumph.
